We’re moving from GOOD to GREAT!

Anetria

WELCOME BACK!  We are incredibly excited to begin a NEW year here at Emanuel County Institute!  This promises to be a year filled with many opportunities for our students as we work hard to find new and better ways to help our students grow.  Much planning, CONSTRUCTION and hard work has gone into preparing for a successful school year here at ECI!  We embark on this journey with a pledge to you, our students and parents, that this will be the best ever filled with engaging, meaningful and rigorous work in our classrooms, combined with special events and a plethora of extracurricular clubs and activities, performing arts groups, and athletic teams certain to encourage our Dawgs to be involved and stay connected!

Our staff of highly qualified professional educators and support personnel is committed to providing our students many opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. We invite and encourage students and parents to work in partnership with us to seize opportunities in all five facets of our ECI program --- Academics, The Arts, Athletics, Activities, and Altruistic Endeavors.

We look forward to a very positive and productive year together!  We extend a special, yearlong invitation to our families to join us at school activities and events whenever possible.  We want you to take advantage of opportunities to be involved and support your child’s education.  Your active participation is the key to success for your young Dawg during his/her middle & high school career.  We value home & school communication here at ECI.  It is vital and plays an integral role in each student’s academic career.  We encourage you to contact us if and when the need arises, and to stay “in the know” about your child’s studies, assignments, assessments, and school activities, as well as other events and happenings. We ask that you follow us in on Twitter @bulldogs_eci, our Facebook Page at Emanuel County Institute.  We will be posting important information about upcoming events.

We welcome to our staff our new Assistant Principal, Brooke Frye!  With her 13 years in experience that has been extremely valuable to our school community.  She is student centered and has a warm, nurturing personality that will be appreciated by our staff, students and families.   Brooke and her husband, Peyton have two children Lawson (8) and Anna Caroline (6) who are both students at TCE.

Mr. Manzie Broxton will also be returning as our Assistant Principal as well as the new Athletic Director.  He is married to Ashley and they have three children, Courtney (18), Madison (4) and Kelsey (2).  Mr. Manzie worked hard to build relationships with our students last year and is looking forward to coming back to continue to strengthen these in the next school term.

This will be my 21st year in education and my first year as Principal.  I have served as Assistant Principal for the past 7 years here at ECI.  I am excited to continue to work HARD to help move ECI from GOOD to GREAT!  I am married to Kevin and we have two children Gavin (19) and Zera (17).

Again, we welcome you to the 2019-2020 school term at Emanuel County Institute.  Our school is a place alive with much energy, enthusiasm, and a high standard excellence!  It is, indeed, a place where opportunities are endless.  Here’s to an AWESOME new school year as we ALL work TOGETHER to make our school a great place to work and learn EACH and EVERY day!

 GO DAWGS!
