Welcome to the 2018-2019 school term!
Swainsboro High School is enjoying a great start to another year of learning, growth, and achievement. We want our students, families, and community members to know that our innovative, passionate, and skillful staff is committed to working hard each day to strengthen the opportunities available to our students.
To our students, we encourage you to work hard, do your best, and show kindness to one another this year. We believe if you have a positive attitude, strive to learn more about your interests, and passionately follow your talents and develop your abilities, an amazing future will unfold. Thank you for your hard work in and out of the classroom. Get and stay involved!
To our parents, thank you for your engagement in your child’s education, we appreciate you entrusting us with their education and do not take this responsibility lightly. A safe and secure learning environment is our number one priority. We encourage your involvement and look forward to working in partnership with you to build a foundation of success for our students’ and community’s future.
To our dedicated staff, thank you for giving of yourselves beyond the school day. These significant efforts speak to the quality of instruction available in all classrooms at SHS. Your commitment to our students enables us to consistently earn high scores for our students achieving typical or high academic growth. Congratulations on attaining an overall CCRPI score which exceeded the state average and was the highest in our school district this past term!
The extra-curricular and co-curricular experiences of our athletes, club members, and program participants enhance our students’ capabilities and their college and career preparedness. We thank our club and program sponsors and coaches for making these experiences possible. We wish all of you continued success this year.
This term I have the privilege of entering my seventh year as the principal of Swainsboro High School. Assistant Principals Brandon Andrews and Rusty Kea and I are grateful for all who are a part of the Swainsboro High School family. We look forward to working alongside our community members to expand our students’ opportunities for success. If Mr. Andrews, Coach Kea, or I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
