We want to welcome you to the 2017-2018 school term! As the school year has gotten underway, we have been excited to see all the great things happening as we visit classrooms this term. The improvements we see each year in our CCRPI score speaks to the quality of instruction available in all classrooms at SHS. We earned 95% of the points available for student achieving typical or high academic growth.
To our students, we hope you continue to have a great school year. We encourage you to do your best every day and make the most of the many opportunities available to you at Swainsboro High School. Thank you for your hard work in and out of the classroom. Get and stay involved!
To our parents, thank you for your engagement in your child’s education and with our school. It takes everyone working together to keep Swainsboro High School energized and successful. We encourage you to say involved. Your support makes the difference between a good and great school!
To our dedicated staff, your commitment to our students is amazing. Thanking you for helping to educate our future. Teachers, we thank you for giving of yourselves over the summer and beyond the school day for professional collaboration. These significant efforts ensure we are prepared for our students all through the year.
The extra-curricular and co-curricular experiences of our athletes, club members and program participants enhance our students’ capabilities and their college and career preparedness. We thank our club and program sponsors and coaches for making these experiences possible. We wish all of you continued success this year.
This year assistant principal Coach Rusty Kea and I were fortunate to have assistant principal Mr. Brandon Andrews join our administrative team. If we can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
