Swainsboro High School is pleased to announce that the Core Access Special Education classes have received a technology and equipment grant from The Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Foundation for the 2017-2018 school term. The Core Access Teachers Jane McLeod and Lena Nwakudu along local Chapter DKG, PSI State, Beta Beta member Tammy Gray completed the application for SHS Core Access Special Education classrooms to receive two sets of Google Chromebooks and a locking storage cabinet. The Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Foundation was established in 1964. Generous contributions from the Society, members, chapters, and friends provide funds to support DKGEF projects that carry out the Mission and Purposes of the Foundation. The Foundation spends more than $150,000 each year to support creative projects, seminars, and professional development. Since its inception, the Educational Foundation has awarded grants totaling nearly $4 million in its efforts to improve, enrich, and encourage intercultural understanding and educational excellence.
