Can you believe its December? So much to do and so little time. We get out of school Friday, December 15th for our Holiday Break. We are working on writing letters to Santa to be submitted and published in The Blade. (I will send home a copy of your child’s letter.)
On December 7th, we will take pictures with a “special visitor”. If you have a Christmas shirt or red shirt, it will make for a nice picture.
Kindergarten will have a “theme” for each day our last week before the break. Participation is a “want to thing” NOT a “have to thing”. We will have activities within the classroom to match each day.
Monday, December 11th, students can dress up as elves. We will make elf ears and be good helpers.
Tuesday, December 12th, we will watch Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Students can dress up like Reindeer. We will paint our noses red.
Wednesday, December 13th, is Polar Express Day. We will watch Polar Express, and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies. Students can wear pajamas to school. Due to safety reasons, students may NOT wear slippers.
Thursday, December 14th, is Grinch Day and our Christmas party. Students can wear green. We will enjoy a special snack, play games and read Christmas stories. If you want to add something to the student’s Christmas stocking, we have 19 students.
Tiger Rally will be held Friday, December 15th, at 9:00 a.m. If you plan to take your child home early, please remember to sign him/her out before you leave school. Students will return to school on Thursday, January 4, 2018.
