I am in my 6th year as Work Based Learning Coordinator for Emanuel County Schools where I serve students at both SHS and ECI. Creating a home-grown workforce is of utmost importance and we are accomplishing just that when students are placed in our local businesses and industries to gain work experience.
Prior to serving as WBL Coordinator, I taught business education at Swainsboro High School. I have served as one of the SHS FBLA Advisers for twenty years and have enjoyed watching young leaders develop their competitive edge in local, state, and national competitions! Providing community service, leadership training, and opportunities to experience the world outside of the confines of a school building are very important to me and I believe these experiences enhance the high school experience. I am currently serving a three year term on the FBLA National Board of Directors.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and reading.
