Harvard University is offering an essay contest to all high school students with scholarship awards. They are offering a $2,000 scholarship to the first place winner, $1,250 scholarship to second place, and $750 scholarship for third place, with additional engagement opportunities for any students who don’t place. The 2022-2023 Citizens Bank Student Advisory Board applications are now available in the guidance office or can be downloaded by clicking here! Applications are due to Ms. Pace on Tuesday, May 17th by 12:00 pm. Please be sure to complete the application in its entirety. See Ms. Pace if there are any questions.


Students participating in dual enrollment must complete their funding applications on www.gafutures.org. Failure to do so may result in a delay in dual enrollment registration.

The Georgia COVID-19 Emotional Support Line provides free and confidential assistance to callers needing emotional support or resource information as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Emotional Support Line is staffed by volunteers, including mental health professionals and others who have received training in crisis counseling. The Emotional Support Line is free, confidential, and anonymous. Trained mental health professionals are available to provide a “listening ear” to Georgians who need emotional support and referrals to resources in their communities. Hours of operation: 8 am - 11 pm. Call or text 866.399.8938.


 

Scholarship Information:

Emanuel County Farm Bureau is taking applications for the Dolan E. Brown Memorial Scholarship. This $1200 scholarship is available to students attending a college or vocational school. The scholarship will be based on the student’s academic performance, leadership abilities, and future plans as they relate to agriculture. Application packets must be returned to the Emanuel County Farm Bureau office at 320 Lambs Bridge Rd, by June 17, 2022. Click here to download the scholarship application.
