Student Support and Health
The Emanuel County School System has designed a Student Services Plan that prescribes and identifies programs and services that will enhance school improvement and ensure student success. This seamless service delivery includes such programs as Parent Involvement; School-Based Health Services; Family Connection; the Homelessness Program; Migrant Education; the Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities Project; School Social Work; Character Education; Alternative Educational Programs; and Conflict Resolution Services.
Hospital/Homebound services are provided for students when a documented medical need causes the student to miss ten or more days of school. A referral form must be approved and signed by the student's physician, principal, and the Director of Special Services. Once approved, the student will receive three or more hours of instruction per week.
